Description
Archaeology and ethnohistory of the Aztecs, their enemies, their conquest, and the appropriation of their history for the modern Mexican state. Topics include:
imperial and colonial formations; the household; cuisine and feasting; gender, class, and ethnicity; social memory; ontology; religion; art, architecture, and poetry; and economy and market exchange.
