Description
A survey of the common law and the civil law traditions for non-jurists. History and key concepts of the common law and civil law. Canadian bijuralism, judicial institutions and civil procedure, constitutional law, and criminal law.
- Restrictions: Open to students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Legal Translation or with departmental approval.
- This is a bilingual course.
- Course includes synchronous and asynchronous activities.
- A minimum grade of B- is required to pass this course.
