Measurement devices, valves, controllers and actuators; common failure modes and error sources; static and dynamic responses; first and higher-order instrument responses; calibration and biases; frequency response analysis; chemical analysis; elements of spectroscopy; optical measurements; integration projects for typical instruments used in chemical engineering.
