Description

Focus on the history of Greek religion in the Classical Period. Particular attention will be paid to the Greek concept of divinity, local pantheons, civic festival calendars, the topography of myth and ritual, ideas concerning the afterlife, mystery cults, oracles and games and the literary representations of religion.
  • Restriction(s): Not open to students who have taken CLAS 380.
  • Prerequisite(s): CLAS 203 or HIST 205 or permission of instructor.
