Description
Ancient Didactic Poetry examines the works of authors such as Hesiod, Empedocles, Aratus, Lucretius, Vergil, Ovid and Manilius. The works are set in their original historical and social contexts while issues related to intellectual history, ancient cosmology, poetry and culture are considered.
