Description

Foundation in the basic science of pain, including cellular and molecular mechanisms, pain neuroanatomy, and key theories. Preclinical and translational pain research. Topics include: animal models of pain, peripheral and central sensitization, pain-related brain and spinal circuits, neuroimmune interactions, pain genetics, sex-dependent mechanisms, translational control of pain and new and emerging therapeutics.
  • Basic understanding of neuroscience, cell and molecular biology are recommended
