Description

A study of prose and/or poetry from the 21st century. A review of frameworks for approaching literature emerging since the turn of this century, using specific works as case studies for how those theoretical approaches can be helpful in revealing important ways in which textual meaning is constructed by the intersection of medium(understood here as genre, form and format) and content.
  • This is a slot course. That is, it is possible that one iteration of this course focuses on poetry, and another on fiction, such that the same student could take it twice [in different terms] without any repetition of content.
