Description

Introduction to community engaged learning with a focus on the broader determinants of health. Exploration of the social, environmental and structural determinants of health and health inequities in the local community context. Exposure to the complexities of meaningful, ethical and productive community partnership, teamwork skills and workplace professionalism.
  • Prerequisites: GPHL 201, GPHL 300
  • Restriction(s): Open to students in a Population and Global Health undergraduate program.
  • Language of instruction is English. Some community placements may require a functional use of French. There are 2.25 hours a week dedicated to learning in the community context.
