Description

This course will focus on visual culture of the Islamic world from the origins of the Muslim faith to the present. We will study a variety of objects across a wide range of media, from well-known and significant buildings, lavish illustrated manuscripts, and courtly objects to everyday textiles and contemporary film.
  • Prerequisite(s): ISLA 200 or ISLA 210 or permission of instructor.
