Description
Properties of soils; permeability and seepage; effective stress concept; compressibility and settlement; lateral earth pressure; soil compaction; stability and design of embankments and mine tailings dams; problems related to mine tailings: liquefaction and disposal; gravitational flow of soils; buried structures.
- Prerequisite(s): MIME 323
- Restriction(s): Not open to students who have taken or are taking MPMC 330.
