Description

Transport phenomena in non-idealized systems. Solutions for transient heat and mass transfer processes involving thermal and molecular diffusion in materials processing systems. Natural and forced convection in heat and mass transfer. Dimensionless correlations. Fick's Laws and Fourier's Laws. Exact solutions. Numerical approximations for transient systems. Equivalences between heat and mass transfer. Finite difference modelling of conduction, convection and radiation heat transfer and diffusion and convection mass transfer.
