Description
Metallic and ceramic powder processing. Fabrication, characterization, properties and tailoring of powders. Pressure and pressureless consolidation techniques. Sintering and densification mechanisms. Properties of sintered compacts. Design of fabrication process. Research project on a powder materials topic.
- Prerequisite: Permission of instructor
- Restriction: Not open to students who have taken MIME 465.
