Description
Explorations into post-1945 sound environments; new timbres; "technological" music (electronic and computer music); minimalism; new aesthetics; the World Soundscape Project; global trends (cross-cultural influences; the New Romanticism; multi-media; protest music).
- MUAR 201 or MUAR 211 or MUTH 101 or MUHL 211 or permission of the instructor.
- Restrictions: Open to all undergraduate students except those in a B.Mus. or L.Mus. program; not open to students who have taken MUAR 385.
