Description

An historical overview of two major genres in the current concert repertoire: baroque foundations, the Viennese achievement, Beethoven's influence, visionaries and nationalists after 1850, cross-currents in the twentieth century.
  • Prerequisites: MUAR 201 or MUAR 211 or MUTH 101 or MUH 211 or permission of the instructor.
  • Restrictions: Open to all undergraduate students except those in a B.Mus. or L.Mus. program; not open to students who have taken MUAR 389.
  • 3 hours
