Description

Fundamental concepts of jazz vocal improvisation and its use and application in standard jazz repertoire, with an emphasis on ear training, performance, harmonic analysis, language development and applied musicianship. American songbook repertoire will be the focus.
  • Prerequisite: MUJZ 226
  • Restriction: Open only to students in a Major in Performance Jazz program.
  • Passing grade for prerequisite(s) is B-.
