Description
Different approaches to the analysis of popular music. Issues of transcription, notation, analytical pertinence, aesthetics, hermeneutics, and semiotics will be explored through transcription exercises, readings, and analysis of selected recordings.
- Prerequisites: MUTH 250 or MUTH 251, and MUSP 171 and MUSP 241
