Description

This course continues to develop the knowledge and skills required to enhance the health of families. Family health has to do with ways of learning, developing, relating, behaving, and thinking which promote physical and psychological well-being. It involves coping with adversity by developing or drawing on family and individual strengths, as well as external resources. From the foundational perspective of Strengths-Based Nursing, students will continue to develop approaches to family assessment and intervention using theoretically and empirically grounded strategies for working with families.
