Description
Advanced nursing knowledge and skills, within the scope of practice of a mental-health nurse practitioner, in the assessment and management of: 1) substance disorders, sleep-wake disorders, gender dysphoria and sexual disorders; and 2) child and adolescent psychiatric illness, and psychiatric illness in the geriatric population, where legal aspects to invoke protective measures and decision-making capacity. Recognition of the pathology associated with these conditions or illnesses, and development of longitudinal management plans that encompass biopsychosocial understanding of the conditions and address urgent and emergency situations.

- Restrictions: Not open to students who have taken NUR2 693.
