Description
Drawing on political and aesthetic theory, as well as on a wide range of artworks, artistic practices, and art criticism, exploration of the ways in which art and politics intersect. In addition to analyzing artworks’ subject-matter, examination of their conditions of production, dissemination, and reception. Examination of how art is deployed politically and pressing political issues such as democratic representation, free speech, and structural inequality.
