Description

The key methodological controversies fueled by the systems of certain phenomenologists of religion (e.g., Rudolf Otto, Mircea Eliade, and Wilfred Cantwell Smith). The intellectual space that emerged as a result will be explored, in particular, the convergence of method and normativity in religious studies.
  • Pre-requisite: RELG 207 is recommended
