Description

Introduction to the sociology of emotions. Exploration of how social relations and emotions affect one another, focusing on the social determinants of emotions, the social construction of emotions, and the effects of emotions on social consensus and conflict. The sociological study of emotions intersects with psychology and neuroscience, and this course helps to situate sociology in these related disciplines.
