Description
Production of original works of literary short fiction in English. Advanced study and application of written storytelling techniques and craft elements used in contemporary short fiction forms, with a main focus on the short story. In-depth instruction in the nuanced creation of character, dialogue, scene, setting, point
of view, narrative distance, and structure. Craft, analysis of published literary short fiction, workshopstyle critique, multiple drafts, and substantive revision.
- Prerequisites: CCOM 200 or WCOM 203 or permission of the Centre.
- Restriction: Not open to students who have taken CCOM 322.
