Summer Studies

The Schulich School of Music offers intensive summer courses, typically held in one-month sessions between May and July. Registration for these courses begins in early March.

Students can enrol in up to 12 credits during the Summer session. Those wishing to take more than 6 credits in a single month, must obtain permission from the Music Student Affairs Office.

Students who wish to take summer courses for transfer credits at universities outside of Quebec must apply for an Independent Study Away (ISA). Details about ISA application are found on the Schulich School of Music’s Learning Abroad website.

Information about Distance Education (online) courses is available under Academic Policies in the Schulich School of Music section.

For details on course offerings and registration, visit the McGill Summer Studies Office website.
