Description

Practical exposure to three research groups in the Department of Animal Science (choices determined by interest of the student, availability of research in a given lab at that time, and in consultation with the student’s assigned supervisor); emphasis on lab goals, etiquette, and techniques, as observed by shadowing research group members (staff, post-doctoral fellows, PhD students); journal of each rotation as well as background research into current experimental procedures. Disciplines available: Reproductive Biotechnology; Animal Disease; Ruminant Nutrition; Epigenetics; Dairy Information Systems; Big Data Analyses; Animal Breeding; Dairy Cattle Welfare; Food Safety.

  • Restriction(s): Permission of Supervisor in consultation with three available rotation researchers.
