Description
Characterization of aqueous, fused salt and solid electrolytes; laws of electrolysis; ion transport mechanisms; interfacial phenomena (electrolyte-electrolyte, electrode-electrolyte); reversible cells and potentials; electrode kinetics, overpotential and potential-current laws; industrial applications; electrolytic winning and refining, electroplating, surface cleaning and coating, electrodialysis and electrochemical sensors.
