Description

Examination of the practical application of the primary care nurse practitioner (PCNP) role in the holistic management of various acute and chronic conditions affecting adult patients and their families, integrating theoretical knowledge and practice of advanced physical assessment and procedure skills to clinical cases.
  • Prerequisite: NUR2 614
  • Restriction: Open to students enrolled in the M.Sc.(A.) in Nurse Practitioner; Non-Thesis - Primary Care and/or the Graduate Certificate in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • A nominal fee of $129.82 is charged to all nursing students who register in courses where clinical skills are taught to students in the Nursing Learning Laboratory. The fee is for clinical skills kits that students will use during their training in the Nursing Learning Laboratory. The kits also contain additional materials for students to take with them after the training to allow them to practice the skills they learn on their own.
  • **Due to the intensive nature of this course, the standard add/drop and withdrawal deadlines do not apply. Add/drop is May 9th and withdrawal is May 21st.
