Plant specialized metabolism in the context of cellbiology, physiology, genetics, and synthetic biology. Thetransformation of simple sugars and amino acids intocomplex natural products. Technologies to deploy suchpathways in engineered organisms to produce high-valuemetabolites sustainably, at scale.
