Description

Application of core public health competencies in the prevention and control of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in Canada. Historical perspectives on STIs, their distribution, and social determinants. Overview of Canadian STI surveillance systems, the role of diagnostics, and the use of quantitative data analyses in public health interventions. Examination of data-driven and equity-informed approaches, including policy frameworks and community-based interventions, in STI control.
  • Prerequisites: EPIB 601, EPIB 607, PPHS 612
