Description

Focus on core academic English competencies at the intermediate level, including sentence structure, grammar, cohesion, paragraph development, and academic vocabulary. Introduces short academic texts and foundational writing and communication practices, alongside strategies for note-taking, vocabulary building, editing, and oral presentation structure. Provides essential linguistic skills for engaging in academic communication and more advanced writing contexts.
  • Restriction: Not open to students who have taken CESL 200. Open only to students in degree programs.
  • Prerequisite: Placement test.
