Distance Education (Online) Courses

Students may take a maximum of 6 credits of elective courses taught via distance education toward their B.Mus. degree at McGill. Online courses offered by educational institutions other than McGill may be approved as transfer credits under the following conditions:

• The course is given by a government-accredited, degree-granting institution acceptable to McGill.
• The course must be assessed by the department which oversees the subject and be approved in McGill's Course Equivalency Database.
• The course counts for credit toward a degree granted at the offering institution.
• Prior approval for the course must be obtained from the Music Student Affairs Office before registering.
