Diploma Programs

Licentiate in Music (L.Mus.) (All Applicants)

To gain admission to the Licentiate program, candidates are required to have completed their secondary education. Additionally, their music qualifications should be comparable to the McGill Conservatory's Collegial II level in either Instrument or Voice, along with Secondary V Theory/Ear Training. An entrance audition is mandatory. Typically, this program spans three years. The Licentiate diploma serves as an excellent pathway for individuals who have obtained degrees in fields other than music or those transitioning between musical genres, such as from classical to jazz, and who seek to engage in performance studies prior to applying for a graduate program.
